International conference «Advanced Def Tech» will be held in Astana
The greatest event in the sphere of military and technical cooperation - scientific and practical conference “Advanced Def Tech” will be held in the Business center of Astana on May 23-24, 2018. It shall be organized by the Ministry of defense and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and “NC “Kazakhstan engineering” JSC. This event will be a key scene of the V International exhibition of armour and military equipment “KADEX-2018”, which will be held in the capital on May 23-26, 2018.
The conference will be attended by officials of Kazakhstan, representatives of the military industrial sector (MIS), research institutes and design agencies from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Turkey, Belarus and other countries. They will discuss topical issues regarding effective development of military and technical cooperation, strategies and mechanisms of military industrial sphere modernization, as well as introduction of new technologies.
The first day of the conference will include four parallel panel sessions on the following topics: “Modernization of Soviet armoured vehicles. New technological solutions”, “Modern trends in the development of armored wheeled vehicles”, “Unmanned aerial vehicles. New generation arming”, “MLRS modernization – improving systems”. The largest MIS manufacturers will present projects to upgrade Soviet armoured vehicles and multiple launch rocket systems, modern developments in the production of armored wheeled vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, it is planned to discuss issues on rationale to integrate modern combat modules and electronic optical instruments on the basis of the T-72, APC-80, IFV-1, IFV-2, to review the aspects of using solid rocket motors while upgrading MLRS CV-21 “Grad”, rearming land forces from using tracked vehicles to wheeled equipment and practical use of UAVs in peacetime and during war.
The second day of the conference will be a plenary session on “Current issues of developing the military industrial sector”, which will be attended by the Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Beibut Atamkulov.
It is expected that the results of the scientific and practical conference “Advanced Def Tech” will lead to adoption of a Resolution, which will include the main areas for cooperation between the countries of the region in the military and technical sphere.
