Kazakhstan presented products of the domestic defense industry at ADEX-2022

September 06, 2022, Baku. The international defense industry exhibition ADEX-2022 has started in Baku. JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Engineering” presented its pavilion with the latest developments and products of the domestic defense industry.

One of the first visitors to the pavilion was the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who got acquainted with Kazakh products and highly appreciated them. Temirzhan Abdrakhmanov, Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC, presented a number of Kazakh-made drones - a UAV-target and a Shagala-M strike drone developed by engineers of R&D Center Kazakhstan Engineering LLP, as well as a domestic drone for civilian use "Leyla" , which can be used in the agricultural and oil and gas industries, geology, monitoring, search and rescue operations, as well as for other purposes. By agreement with the President of Azerbaijan, the drone was given the name "Leyla" in honor of the Azerbaijani pilot Leyla Mammadbekova, the first female pilot in Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, who trained more than 4,000 paratroopers and pilots during the Great Patriotic War. UAV "Leyla" is a development of Kazakh engineers. Flight speed - up to 160 km / h, maximum altitude - up to 3500 m, flight duration up to 5 hours, range - 80-100 km, operating temperature range from -50 to +50, and the UAV payload reaches 20 kg.

“We offer foreign investors to invest in the development of Kazakh developments and dual-use production facilities. We are able to produce civilian products for a wide range of applications, if necessary, to orient production to military needs. This is in line with our vision of the development of the company and the industry as a whole,” said Temirzhan Abdrakhmanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Engineering.

The pavilion of Kazakhstan created a stir at ADEX-2022, arousing great interest among foreign partners. Representatives of Turkey, Brazil, Russia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Vietnam and many others expressed their interest in Kazakhstani products. The ADEX exhibition brought together more than 200 companies from 26 countries and occupied three pavilions, as well as an open area of the Baku Expo Center. Leading defense companies from Bulgaria, Italy, China, France, the Netherlands and other countries are among the exhibitors. This year's exhibition is attended by companies from Jordan for the first time, Belarus, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey and other countries will participate with their national stands.
