On changes in anti-corruption policy

On January 3, 2024, an interview with the Head of State was published, in which the results of the current development of the country were summed up and important aspects of public life were discussed, including active anti-corruption activities.

The President highlighted successful initiatives in the field of social development, such as the construction of schools at the expense of funds confiscated from corrupt officials, as well as the introduction of the Social Code with an increase in social benefits and wages.

The desire for demonopolization of the economy and the implementation of new reforms are aimed at stimulating the growth of the country's economy. The president announced the goal of doubling GDP by 2029, and IMF analysts highlighted record GDP growth in Central Asia.

The main focus remains on improving the well-being of citizens and combating corruption. The Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan actively monitors the construction of objects of social significance and successfully returns confiscated property. In addition, work continues to attract investment, privatization and asset recovery. Among other things, public procurement is actively monitored with the further prevention of cases of overpricing.

Therefore, as part of the fight against corruption, the Anti-Corruption Service is actively involved in monitoring and reporting on the recommendations of the OECD and GRECO. Special attention is paid to the formation of a youth personnel reserve and their participation in the development of the country.

Kazakhstan Engineering Group of Companies actively supports initiatives aimed at preventing corruption risks and further "recovery" of business in Kazakhstan.
