In short term, plan to use ASELSAN’s aviation systems/solutions to modernize Mi-17 Helicopters but in long term, manufacture its own aviation systems to meet this demand. KAE will also manufacture weapon systems for some of helicopters of the Kazakhstan Air Defense Forces for their use in reconnaissance, search and rescue operations. The modernization includes the installation of KAE equipment that provides 24-hour detection, identification, capture and auto tracking of targets measuring information on any target in limited adverse weather conditions reducing pilot workload, piloting, takeoff support landing and other special tasks (surveillance, search, landing and other).
