Moscow. 12th of August. INTERFAX - An infantry fighting vehicle based on the newest unified combat platform Boomerang has received an export passport, which gives the right to sell to foreign customers, says the manufacturer - Military Industrial Company (VPK).

"For the sample BMP" Boomerang "received: an advertising passport and an export passport, which will position the new car in the export market," - said "MIC" on its Instagram page on Wednesday.

They recalled that the car will be presented at the Army-2020 forum, which starts on August 23 in the Moscow region.

In April, JSC Rosoboronexport announced that it was bringing the Boomerang combat platform to the world market.

JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec state corporation) has begun to promote the newest unified combat platform Boomerang, developed and manufactured by Military Industrial Company LLC, to foreign markets, the company said on 23 April.

The head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, said that the platform makes it possible to create on its basis vehicles of the widest range of applications with various weapons and equipment.

"The countries of Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the CIS have already shown interest in Boomerang. We estimate the export volume of this platform in the foreseeable future at about $ 1 billion," the head of Rosoboronexport said at the time.

"Boomerang" is a floating wheeled platform with a drive to all four axles. The controls are in the front of the vehicle, the fighting compartment is in the middle, and the troop compartment is in the rear of the vehicle. The "Boomerang" can accommodate up to 11 personnel. Embarkation and disembarkation of the combat crew is carried out through the upper hatches and aft door or ramp.

Combat modules can be mounted on the platform. These can be remote-controlled and manned modules with machine-gun, cannon or combined weapons: a 30-mm automatic cannon and a 7.62-mm machine gun paired with it, a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher and two launchers with two ATGMs each. And also a 12.7-mm machine gun "Kord" in the version for armored personnel carriers.

To control weapons and conduct aimed firing, the modern digital fire control system includes a two-plane weapon stabilizer, a multi-channel optoelectronic sighting system with a built-in laser rangefinder and automated gunner's and commander's stations with a multifunctional display and a built-in ballistic computer.

Depending on the armament, the vehicle can effectively hit various enemy targets, manpower, firing points, armored and unarmored targets, including low-speed air targets, at any time of the day and in all weather conditions.

"Boomerang" is equipped with an independent suspension, a diesel engine with a capacity of 750 hp, is able to overcome various obstacles and reach speeds of over 100 km / h on asphalt. The power reserve is at least 800 km. To increase the cross-country ability, a winch with a pulling force of 10 tons is installed on the armored vehicle.

The novelty is able to overcome water obstacles even with waves of at least 3 points. At the same time, the armored vehicle develops a speed of at least 10 km / h on the water, having a cruising range on water of up to 12 hours.

"The security of this unique Russian unified wheeled combat platform can be built on a multilevel principle: armor, a dynamic and active protection system, a smoke screen and other systems," Rosoboronexport said.

The platform protects personnel from small arms, mines and shell fragments. The armored vehicle is able to independently leave a dangerous place with a complete separation of two wheels or continue moving when the tires are shot.

"Boomerang" has a camouflage, so-called deforming paint, installation for setting up an aerosol or smoke screen, fire protection systems, protection against weapons of mass destruction. Special systems and technical solutions ensure the survival of the combat crew when the vehicle is blown up by mines. In addition, the vehicle can be equipped with radio-controlled explosive devices.

An informed source of Interfax stated earlier that the Russian Federation is working on the appearance of the Armata tank for export.

In June, it became known that Sukhoi intends to start mass production of an export version of the fifth generation Su-57 fighter.

"The company's prospects for the military aircraft market in the long term are associated with the serial production of the Su-57 (PAK FA, T-50) and its export version," the company's 2019 annual report said.
