During a working trip to the West Kazakhstan region, Speaker of the Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva got acquainted with the work of the shipbuilding plant "Zenith".
In a conversation with the management of the plant and its employees, the Head of the Senate stressed that the necessary regulatory framework for the development of enterprises working in the interests of defense has been formed - at the beginning of the year, a new Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the defense industry and state defense orders" was adopted.
“The government should conduct systematic work to support domestic enterprises producing defense products. It is important for us to develop our own industry and place orders, first of all, at Kazakh enterprises, ”D. Nazarbayeva noted.
On the same day, Dariga Nazarbayeva met in Uralsk with the leaders of national cultural centers, representatives of youth and volunteer organizations of the West Kazakhstan region.
According to Dariga Nazarbayeva, the ANC is an influential social force that plays an important role in strengthening interethnic peace and harmony in the country.
“I am grateful to you for the warm welcome and kind words. I was pleased with your positive attitude towards a specific job. Today, the ANC needs to actively involve young people in the activities of national cultural centers, to raise new leaders. Equal opportunities for career and professional growth should be created for young people of all nationalities. To prevent young people from leaving the country, we need an open system of social lifts, ”stressed the Speaker of the Senate.
The Head of the Senate spoke with representatives of regional media about the new challenges the media face in the modern world. According to Dariga Nazarbayeva, statistics show that for 70% of the population, traditional media - television, radio, newspapers - are still the main source of information. At the same time, media consumption is expanding due to the Internet and mobile devices. These processes must be comprehended and recorded in the state strategy for the development of the media industry. The President of the Senate invited representatives of the WKO mass media to take an active part in the preparation of this document and the development of amendments to the legislation on mass media.
