The 17th meeting of the CSTO interstate commission on military-economic cooperation was held in Yerevan

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the ICWEC Yuri Borisov.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Avinyan, Acting Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin, as well as delegations of the national parts of the Commission of the Organization's member states. The Kazakh delegation was headed by the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Talgat Zhanzhumenov.

During the meeting, the results of the commission's activities over the past period after its previous meeting in September last year in Almaty were summed up, the results of the work done were considered and prospects for the further development of military-economic cooperation within the CSTO were identified.

Following the discussion of the issues on the agenda, decisions were made aimed at improving multilateral cooperation in this area.

In particular, the draft concept of an integrated systematic approach to ensuring and controlling the quality of military products jointly developed and produced within the CSTO, as well as the draft Decision of the CSTO CSTO “On the basic organization in the development of cooperation and integration ties of enterprises and organizations of the military-industrial (military -industrial) complexes of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization ".

A set of decisions was adopted on the issues of mutual protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity obtained and used in the course of military-economic cooperation within the framework of the CSTO. In particular, the procedure for considering applications from parties to agreements on alleged infringement of rights to the results of intellectual activity is regulated, as well as the organization of information interaction between the national parts of the coordination council under the ICFEC on the issues of mutual protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity obtained and used in the course of military-economic cooperation between states. - CSTO members. Changes have also been made to some of the current documents in this area.

The issue of the preparation of the international military-economic conference of the CSTO: "Military-economic cooperation of states; - CSTO members: development trends, problems and prospects", which will be held on October 23 at the VDNKh exhibition complex as part of the business program of the international exhibition of state security means " INTERPOLITEX-2019 ".

In addition, meetings of the Coordinating Council under the CSTO ICFEC were held on the issues of mutual protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity obtained and used in the course of military-economic cooperation within the CSTO, and the Coordination Council for the standardization of weapons and military equipment under the CSTO ICFEC.

The members of the commission also approved the ICFEC work plan for 2020. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the commission in September 2020 in the Republic of Belarus.
