An excursion to defense enterprises for schoolchildren was held in Nur-Sultan

The students of gymnasium school No. 69 managed to see the production process with their own eyes, ask questions to defense industry specialists and get acquainted with the work of engineers during an excursion to the enterprises of Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP and Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP.

Specialists of Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP told the students about the history and activities of the enterprise, showed the process of overhaul of SU-25 military aircraft, repair work of the An-72 military transport aircraft, and also explained the features of a complex form of maintenance (C-check) of the Airbus aircraft C295. During the tour, the importance of engineering and technical professions was emphasized, because in two years schoolchildren will have to choose a specialty. Currently, KAI LLP is the only aviation manufacturing enterprise in the Central Asian region specializing in the repair and maintenance of aircraft and has successfully mastered the regulated repair of Airbus C295M aircraft, which employs almost 200 employees.

The Kazakh-Turkish plant LLP "Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering", which specializes in the production of electro-optics, avionics, weapons systems and communications, also opened its doors for schoolchildren. After a short presentation about the history of the enterprise and its activities, the students were able to try out thermal imagers and night vision devices, ask questions to engineers and learn how lenses and electronic boards are made. Of great interest was the demonstration of the stabilized remotely controlled combat module "SARP".

The excursion to the enterprises was organized by NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC with the assistance of the Amanat party in order to popularize engineering and technical specialties and get acquainted with mechanical engineering and the military-industrial complex. Schoolchildren were presented with memorable gifts.
