On October 12, members of the Public Council of NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC visited Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP as part of the final week of the Public Councils. During the visit, the managing director of the National Company, Sultan Seisengaliyev, spoke about the activities of the military-industrial holding, development strategy, and key projects. Particular attention was paid to the problematic issues of the defense industry: depreciation of fixed assets and a small share of innovations; high debt burden and lack of instruments for financing the defense industry; reduction in human resources and short-term contracts under the State Defense Order; dependence on imports and lack of state support measures.

Transparency of activities is of high importance: members of the Public Council of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Engineering "are experts in various fields, including industry, and have the opportunity to give impetus to the development of the defense industry. So, following the results of the visit, it was decided to raise the issue of solving the urgent problems of the industry as a whole before a number of state bodies. Public opinion and support in such conditions is of great importance.

The importance of the role of public councils was emphasized in his address by Chingiz Lepsibaev, President of the Public Foundation “Eurasian Expert Council”, a member of the Public Council of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, who visited KAI LLP during the “OS Week” and the upcoming Majilis of the Public Council to exchange experience on the work of public councils . He also noted that there are 480 Public Councils in Kazakhstan, which represent almost 4,000 citizens.

An introductory tour and presentation of the activities of one of the largest subsidiaries - LLP "Kazakhstan Aviation Industry" was conducted by Deputy Director for Production Kanat Zhunusov.
