Arman Narbotayevich, can you tell us about the enterprise? What does «Tynys» JSC specialize in and what products does it produce?

-«Tynys» JSC was founded in 1959. The main activity of the plant was to produce assemblies and units of aircraft equipment. However, the modern strategy of the plant is aimed at implementation of major investment projects and mastering of new directions of activity.

We have a very wide product line. There are over a hundred items, but I can mention the main ones:

1. Personal protective equipment

As we are executors of state defense orders for the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, we directly produce body armor. The flak jackets produced are wholly Kazakhstani products, from the soft end, to the cover, to the body armor plate itself. We manufacture it entirely here at «Tynys» JSC.

2. Production of water pipes

We have the capacity to manufacture pipes for water and gas pipelines ranging from small diameters (10 millimeters) to large ones (1,000 millimeters). The customers are «Kazvodkhoz», water canals of the country and various construction and installation companies involved in pipe laying.

3. Medical products

We manufacture ventilators, which are in demand by hospitals and ambulance service. These devices help in providing first aid, transporting the patient even without electricity from the field to the hospital.

4. Foundry

We produce friction wedges for railways and counterweights for farm machinery, tractors and combine harvesters.

In your opinion, how successful was the year 2022 for the enterprise?

-I can call it quite successful, because we fulfilled all our plans and timely fulfilled the state order in full.

We loaded our foundry production to 100% and were able to develop a new product, a dust-protection device, which protects the helicopter engine from dust and sand. It reduces the cost of engine repairs.

I can also say that we have a contract for nine items with «Aircraft Repair Plant №405» JSC, located in Almaty. We have already delivered five items last year, and the balance of four items we will deliver this year.

Another achievement is that we were able to increase salaries for our workers by 15% last year. Now we have increased it by another 16%. I would like to point out that the increase in wages did not apply to the plant management - shop stewards and directors. All the increase was aimed precisely at those workers who stand at the machine.

In addition to that, due attention is paid to occupational safety. This year there is a permanent contract for insurance of plant workers, workers engaged in hazardous working conditions are undergoing medical examination, workers are provided with personal protective equipment. All production areas are equipped with first aid kits and a well-equipped health center.

What are the objectives for 2023? Are there plans for new projects and new markets?

-Yes, I mentioned our foundry production above, saying that last year we had even more orders than we could fulfil. That is why the decision was made to increase the «foundry». We have prepared a corresponding financial and economic feasibility study for the project and we want to increase it. Today our capacity is 1,000 shields a year. We want to increase it to 2,500 units a year.

We also have another big project. It is a project on production of centre bushings and filters for oil industry. Last year, we already installed our bushings in several fields at «Karazhanbasmunai», «Ozenmunaigas», «Embamunaigas» and «Mangystaumunaigas». This is only the West Kazakhstan oblast.

Today we have already signed certificates for pilot tests from some of the wells and fields. I can say that these results are very good: at some wells, our bushings and filters enabled us to increase run time in the blocks and at some wells inter-renovation period was tripled. Let us say wells that used to be dismantled and required workovers every 50 days, but now, thanks to our filters, they run for 144 days.

In addition, we have a great direction - it is the program of development and creation of new productions, which is implemented through «Samruk-Kazyna», and within the framework of which we apply for membership in the register of domestic producers. Thus, we have very recently been included in the above-mentioned register for 14 items.

We are also applying for another three products. We are planning to conclude an OTP (Register of Domestic Goods Producers) with «Samruk Kazyna» and obtain firm long-term contracts so that we will have guaranteed orders.

Work on railway components is being actively pursued. We have three products - three traction whips, pendulum suspension and air sieves for wagons. The drawings have already been prepared and there are prototypes, which we will put on the wagons for further testing.

I can conclude that we are optimistic about the future. I think the company has a very good one.
