On successful cooperation with Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and reduction of debt by 2 times

In order to implement investment projects in 2013, Kazakhstan Engineering NC JSC raised $200 million (through Eurobonds). In 2016, against the background of the negative impact of the devaluation (a sharp increase in the exchange rate from 150 to 399 tenge per dollar), external borrowing was repaid from the accumulated funds in the amount of 128 million dollars and a loan received for 26.2 billion tenge (about 76.6 million dollars). ) in Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC for a period of 1 year at 14% per annum.

However, it turned out to be impossible to pay such an amount in 1 year, and therefore the terms of loans are constantly extended.

The Bank, in turn, has carried out 19 restructurings since the date of issuance of loans (extension of repayment periods and reduction of interest rates), thereby supporting not only the Company, but also a large group of enterprises in the military-industrial complex.

It should be noted that over the past 12 months the organization has paid 11.4 billion tenge to the Bank and demonstrates a positive cash-flow trend. The company is successfully developing and is not in a pre-bankrupt state. For 2022, unaudited net profit is 3.7 billion tenge. According to the Asset Privatization Plan, through open and transparent procedures, non-defense assets worth 9.2 billion tenge were sold on gosreestr.kz.

To date, the remaining debt of the Company to the Bank is 11.6 billion tenge, which the Company intends to repay in the near future, taking into account further privatization of non-defense assets, as well as an increase in revenue and contract base.

Taking into account the need to fulfill the tasks of developing the country's military-industrial complex, with the aim of sustainable development of the entire holding, JSC NC Kazakhstan Engineering expresses gratitude to the Bank and hopes for support and further fruitful cooperation.
