In February 2016, PZTM JSC took part in an international tender held by NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the purchase of small-scale mechanization equipment in two lots: Lot No. 1 – rail drilling machines, rail cutting machines, rail grinding machines machine tools, screwdrivers, railway jacks, hydraulic tensioners; Lot No. 5 – hydraulic accelerators.
Due to the deficit of its own budget, NC KTZ JSC purchased this equipment with borrowed funds from the EBRD, therefore, the tender was held according to European procurement rules, where there are no privileges for domestic producers. JSC "PZTM" took part in this tender along with the world leaders in the production of track equipment: JSC "Kalugatransmash", Russian Federation, JSC "Kubanzheldormash", Russian Federation, "L.Geismar", France. The equipment of PZTM JSC had to be on par with European analogues both in quality and in financial and economic indicators.

The main structural divisions of the plant were involved in preparing the tender application. The MTS department carried out an analysis of prices for materials and components, including those from non-CIS countries. Accounting specialists prepared financial documents (bank guarantees, balance sheets for 5 years, various forms for filling out data). The design and technology center has done serious work to modernize the serially produced track tool, bringing it to the technological parameters required by the customer. The marketing department prepared documents regarding requirements for supply volumes over a 5-year period, experience in the market, etc. It was necessary to carefully fill out and complete all the documents provided, and translate them into English, avoiding errors and typos.

All data from the above departments was analyzed by the planning and economic department, as a result of which a price proposal was generated and submitted to the tender commission on February 4, 2016.
The entire volume of work done by the enterprise allowed PZTM JSC to become the winner of lot No. 5. The results of the tender were announced on October 28, 2016. Deliveries of finished products under this agreement will be made in 2017. An example of participation in such a global-scale tender indicates the enterprise’s readiness to reach a new level of production.
