On May 14, 2020, in the city of Uralsk, a solemn ceremony of launching a rack-mounted vessel (maneuverable basing point), built on the slipways of the Zenit plant, which is part of the national company Kazakhstan Engineering, took place.
This floating berth was manufactured to equip the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The maneuverable basing point is designed for mooring, parking, servicing ships, boats and vessels with a total displacement of up to 800 tons, and carrying out loading and unloading operations.
The floating berth performs the following tasks:
- simultaneous mooring of two ships with a displacement of up to 300 tons and two boats with a displacement of up to 70 tons;
- autonomous supply of electricity to ships standing at a floating berth and transmission of electricity to them from shore sources.
The ceremony was attended by Akim of the West Kazakhstan region Iskaliev G.N., the leadership of the National Security Committee and the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the management of the National Company Kazakhstan Engineering JSC, as well as veterans of the Armed Forces, representatives of local government bodies, republican and regional the media, the team of JSC Ural Plant Zenit and the ship's crew.
The product will undergo testing in the Caspian Sea, after which it will be handed over to the Customer.
