On December 9, 2022, Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP and DALA AIR LLP signed a Sales Agreement for two new H125 helicopters. This transaction sets new path for cooperation between the two companies. The nearest plans for 2023 are to sign a contract for 3 more H125 helicopters. The new H125 helicopter represents part of DALA AIR's strategic development plan for aviation services.
DALA AIR is the industry leader in the small aviation sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This year, the company is doubling its H125 fleet and becoming the largest operator of this type of helicopter in Central Asia. In 2023, the company plans to double the number of H125s once again and secure its leadership in the industry for fleet renewal, setting an example for other market actors for the development of the industry by private investment and seeking to rejuvenate the fleet. In total, the company's fleet consists of 30 aircraft and helicopters. There are still plenty of old, Soviet-era aircraft and helicopters in Kazakhstan, and one of DALA AIR's goals is to radically upgrade the fleet, including with such modern helicopters as the H125.
"The H125 is the only light single-engine utility helicopter in its category, suitable for a wide range of services nationwide, including forest firefighting, passenger transportation, emergency rescue, and various aviation operations for exploration and mining, energy, telecommunications, and agriculture. The low-maintenance Airbus Helicopters H125 is optimal for the harsh climatic and geographical conditions of Kazakhstan. It is adapted to flights in high altitude terrain and hot climate conditions," Vyacheslav Romanenko, Director of DALA AIR LLP, commented on the transaction.
According to the manufacturer, the H125 (formerly known as the AS350 B3e) outperforms all other single-engine helicopters in its category in terms of performance, versatility, safety, and affordability, as well as in terms of operation in extreme conditions. The H125 is part of the Ecureuil helicopter series. The total flight time of helicopters of this model in the world has exceeded 37 million flight hours.
The AIRBUS Helicopters H125 light single-engine helicopter is equipped with a powerful engine with FADEC digital control system. Fully loaded, the helicopter can reach 7,000 meters, and it also holds the world record for landing and taking off from the peak of Mount Everest under the control of an experienced pilot.
H125 helicopters are purchased from a domestic manufacturer, Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP, with the involvement of private investment in the industry.
This is the next milestone in the partnership between DALA AIR and Airbus Helicopters and intends to inspire a mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation.
