About the history of "S.M.Kirov Plant" JSC

November 20, 1928 is a significant date in the history of "S.M. Kirov Plant" JSC. On this day, radio assembly workshops were organized in Moscow, which later merged into a single enterprise. The first years of work were not easy: the combined workshops were engaged in the repair of units and parts for radio, the manufacture of simple measuring instruments. But over time, difficulties were successfully overcome, and the work continued to improve.

In 1931, the plant manufactured equipment for the Moscow-Tashkent duplex telephone line - one of the longest in the world at that time. In those conditions, this was an undoubted success.

In 1937, the production of new radio receivers and transmitting devices began, which were exported abroad. The plant mastered the flow production of complex units, turning into a large enterprise with 2,000 employees, 66% of whom were Stakhanovites and shock workers.

During the Great Patriotic War, in November 1941, the plant, together with its people and equipment, was relocated from the city of Alexandrov (Ivanovo Region) to the city of Petropavlovsk. The workers who arrived with the plant, together with the youth of Petropavlovsk, united into a friendly work team that performed real miracles, showing an example of labor heroism. In the difficult conditions of the war years, the plant's team supplied the front with radio receivers, radio direction finders, which were in great demand and popularity among the troops.

After the war, the plant switched to the production of radio receivers for the needs of the national economy and the population, having mastered the production of second, third and fourth generation products. Of the total number of workers, 83.4% were local residents, of which 60% were women and 12% were young people under 18. During the war, the enterprise provided the front with a significant amount of defense products: radio stations, radio receivers, antennas, portable radio direction finders.

In 1951, a significant event took place in the life of the plant - it was named after the outstanding figure of the Soviet Union, Sergei Mironovich Kirov. The rise of labor activity and mass socialist competition ensured the successful fulfillment of the plan for the first year of the five-year plan. In the same year, the plant took a course on the development of radio-electronic products for civilian needs. As an example, a low-power receiving and amplifying unit for collective farm radio units was developed.

The active participation of the plant's workers and employees in the rise of agriculture was highly appreciated by the Soviet government, and the Kirov plant workers were awarded the medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands". One of the most important areas of the team's activity to overcome shortcomings and implement the planned activities was comprehensive mechanization and automation.

On January 11, 1967, the Museum of Labor and Military Glory of the Plant was opened. Such historical figures as the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan D.A. Kunayev and the first secretary of the regional party committee of Northern Kazakhstan V.P. Demidenko.

The plant continued to operate steadily and fulfill its plans, remaining successful to this day. Thanks to reconstruction, the introduction of comprehensive mechanization and automation, as well as the implementation of socio-economic development plans and the persistence of the team, the plant grew from a semi-artisan workshop into a large enterprise. Now it is equipped with modern technology and highly qualified workers, engineers and employees. In 2023, the enterprise celebrated a significant date - its 95th anniversary, having gone through a complex and eventful history of its formation.
