Ahead of the spring flood season and in accordance with the directive issued by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, during his working visit to the North Kazakhstan region, enterprises of the "Kazakhstan Engineering" Holding are proactively implementing measures to ensure safety in the event of potential flooding.
Comprehensive Preparations Include:
- Timely clearing of snow from facility premises and its removal;
- Inspection and readiness of necessary equipment and resources;
- Updating internal regulatory documents, including flood response plans, safety instructions, and emergency action procedures;
- Additional coordination with responsible personnel and conducting awareness campaigns among employees.
Information on the progress of these measures is regularly reported to the company for effective coordination of actions.
The experience from last year, particularly the floods in the West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions, demonstrated the high readiness of the Holding’s plants for rapid response. Employees of JSC "Uralsk Plant "Zenit," JSC "Hydropribor Research Institute," JSC "Petropavlovsk Heavy Engineering Plant," and JSC "S.M. Kirov Plant" actively participated in rescue operations and flood mitigation efforts.
In 2024, the company’s enterprises undertook emergency measures to reinforce protective structures and establish new facilities to safeguard local communities. More than a hundred employees were involved in constructing dams, delivering sandbags and clay, and strengthening affected areas.
Additionally, this winter has seen a significant amount of snowfall. In response, the plants are taking proactive measures in advance to minimize potential flood risks, maintain a high level of preparedness, and ensure efficient cooperation between all involved organizations.
