Today, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin paid a working trip to the North Kazakhstan region. The first point of visit was the Petropavlovsk airport. Askar Mamin was informed about the plans for 2018 to repair the regional roads. Particular attention is paid to the reconstruction of the Petropavlovsk-Russian border highway.

The First Deputy Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction of the schoolchildren's palace in the new Zhas Orken microdistrict. Also, Askar Mamin was shown plans for the development of the Zhas Orken. In general, about 2,700 apartments will be commissioned in this microdistrict alone. A school will also be built, a tennis center and a sports palace have already been built.

The First Deputy Prime Minister took part in a meeting on the preparation for the Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia. Askar Mamin expressed confidence that the interregional forum will be held at a high organizational level. The topic of the forum is "New approaches and trends in the development of tourism in Kazakhstan and Russia." The First Deputy Prime Minister said that the topic of tourism was not chosen by chance.

“We attach great importance to the development of tourism in Kazakhstan. The industry has tremendous potential. Petropavlovsk was not chosen by chance, since we believe that your region has significant tourism potential. If we talk about tourists, we are also focused on the Russian market. The forum provides an opportunity to show the potential of the region and the possibilities of tourism in Kazakhstan, ”stressed Askar Mamin.

Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov also focused on the development of tourism in the region. The head of the region spoke about the plans to equip the Schoolchildren's Palace with IT technologies. The IT center will present a wide range of educational circles and a lot of entertainment. This is a film studio, cyber defense and virtual reality rooms, a programming laboratory, a cinema and others. The entertainment services of the IT center should contribute to the development of children's tourism in the region.

“The tourism topic will give impetus to the region and our country. Today the Palace of Schoolchildren under construction is intended for children from neighboring regions of Russia and Kazakhstan to seek to get here. It will be equipped with IT technologies. There will be a lot of entertainment for children, ”said Kumar Aksakalov.

Several new tourism projects will be implemented in North Kazakhstan region this year. New recreation centers and autocaravanning will be built in the Imantau-Shalkar resort area. Another project is planned to be implemented in the Kyzylzhar region. A new shopping and entertainment center Dostyk Mall is being built in Petropavlovsk.

During the visit, the First Deputy Prime Minister visited large industrial enterprises. Askar Mamin got acquainted with the development prospects of ZIKSTO, PZTM and the Kirov plant.
