Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Atamkulov paid a working visit to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, where he met with the leadership of a number of ministries and departments of the republic.

At a meeting with the Chairman of the State Committee for Defense Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Kasymkulov, the parties discussed issues of interaction in the defense industry, establishing interfactory cooperation, as well as the prospects for mutual supplies of military products.

In particular, the Kazakh delegation offered cooperation in the field of aircraft maintenance (repair of helicopter equipment), and also offered the Kyrgyz side the products and services of defense enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the power structures of Kyrgyzstan.

During the conversation with the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov, a possible supply of multifunctional helicopters of the Kazakh enterprise "Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering" LLP for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic was discussed.

Kazakhstani defense industry enterprises can supply Kyrgyzstan with military products, including light industry products. For example, the Kazakh company "Tarazkozhobuv" LLP has the opportunity to supply military footwear for the personnel of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Kazakhstani delegation proposed cooperation to the Kyrgyz partners in the joint use of Kazakhstani space systems in the interests of the emergency prevention and response agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic. The proposed cooperation in the space sector involves the exchange of information and experience in the field of remote sensing of the Earth, as well as training in the field of space activities.

Kazakhstani communication satellites make it possible to provide communication and TV broadcasting services throughout Central Asia, and Earth remote sensing satellites provide space images widely used in geodesy, cartography, agriculture, as well as in the interests of preventing and eliminating emergencies (prevention, monitoring and assessment of consequences Emergency situations, monitoring of steppe and forest fires, etc.).

At a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, Raimberdi Duishenbiev, issues of military-technical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were discussed. The parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of cooperation in issues of mutual interest and expressed their intention to further strengthen it.
