A solemn raising of the naval flag on the new rocket and artillery ship "Mangystau"took place in the seaport of Aktau.

The event was attended by the commander-in-chief of the Navy of the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vice Admiral Zhandarbek Zhanzakov, akim of Mangistau region Yeraly Tugzhanov, representatives of local Executive bodies of Mangistau region and Aktau city, military personnel and their families.the Mangystau Rocket and artillery ship was commissioned into the Navy in October of this year. The ship is intended for the protection and defense of the territorial integrity of the Kazakh sector of the Caspian sea. The ship has a total displacement of about 250 tons, a length of 43 meters, a width of 8 meters, a draft of 2.5 meters, seaworthiness of up to 7 points, autonomy of up to 10 days, a range of 2000 miles, and a full speed of about 27 knots. The ship is equipped with the necessary weapons.

The ship's crew has undergone intensive training, having experienced the ship at sea in a variety of conditions and modes. Recall that the rocket and artillery ship "Mangystau" was built at the domestic plant "Zenit"in the city of Uralsk.
