Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov held a meeting with Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Dvigalev.

During the talks, the parties discussed areas of military-technical cooperation, issues of joint space activities and information security.

The Kazakh delegation noted the high level of development of enterprises and the powerful human potential of the military-industrial complex and the space sector of Belarus. Earlier, a working group of specialists of the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the invitation of their Belarusian colleagues, visited the republic, where they got acquainted with the products of the defense industry and examined the production capacities of enterprises.

At the end of the meeting, the Kazakh side invited the representatives of Belarus to take part in the V International Exhibition of Arms and Military-Technical Property "KADEX-2018", which will be held in Astana in May 2018.

As previously reported, within the framework of the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on production, scientific and technical cooperation of organizations of defense industries. In the presence of the heads of state, the document was signed by the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus.
