The ceremonial lifting of the naval flag on the speed boat «Ratmir» of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan was held today in Aktau.

A boat was named in honor of the first Rear Admiral of the Navy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ratmir Alimkhanovich Komratov. 

High-speed border boat «Ratmir» develops speed up to 53 knots. It has high speed and maneuverability characteristics. This, along with a low draft allowing it to enter the rivers, enables the Border service of the National security committee of Kazakhstan to most effectively combat high-speed canoes - the violators of sea borders of the republic and poachers who are carrying out illegal fishing in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian sea.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Border service, an asset of Mangystau region and the city of Aktau have participated in a ceremony.

The naval flag was handed to the commander of the boat by the deputy director of the Border service of the National security committee of Kazakhstan, Colonel Yerzhan Murzabaev, and the sign with the inscription «Ratmir» was presented by Rear Admiral Komratov.

Invited have wished to crew of the ship successful active service on protection of frontier of the republic on the Caspian sea and «fair seas and a following wind».

The event culminated with passing of a solemn march of the border guards, an exit in the sea of the boat «Ratmir», where its maneuvering and high-speed characteristics were checked.
