The Kazakhstani delegation headed by the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov took part in the opening ceremony of the forum. At the beginning of the event, representatives of the delegation visited the exhibition of modern military equipment and equipment presented at the forum.
It should be noted that for the first time Kazakhstani defense industry enterprises are participating in the forum under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The national exhibition was presented by KAE LLP, Plant named after S.M. Kirov ”, JSC“ Tynys ”and JSC“ Semey Engineering ”, which are part of JSC“ National Company “Kazakhstan Engineering”. In addition, the exhibition presented such Kazakhstani enterprises as the Republican State Enterprise "Kazspetsexport" of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "405 Aircraft Repair Plant", as well as a number of other private companies of the military-industrial complex.
For the second year now, domestic defense industry enterprises have been participating in this representative forum. The purpose of the participation is not only the presentation of new weapons, but also the demonstration of export-oriented projects in Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of state support for exports, assistance to Kazakhstani companies at the Army-2017 exhibition was provided by the National Company KAZAKH INVEST JSC under the Agreement concluded in May of this year with Kazakhstan Engineering NC JSC.
At the stand with an area of over 200 square meters, domestic companies presented over 60 full-scale samples and models of military and dual-use products.
The Kazakhstan plant for the production of electronic-optical products LLP "KAE" presented professional radio communications, infrared lenses for thermal imaging devices, a stabilized remotely controlled combat module "ARP", day and night vision sights, electronic boards.
JSC "Plant im. CM. Kirov ”presented a universal range equipment, which includes target installations, targets of various sizes, control units.
JSC "Tynys" exhibited highly specialized components for aviation equipment at the forum "Army-2017".
Semey Engineering JSC exhibited mock-ups of modernized armored and conversion vehicles, including repair and recovery vehicles based on T-72 tanks, BMP and BTR-80 tanks.
During the forum, the leadership of the MOAP RK met with the leadership of PJSC "Irkut" to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.
Then the representatives of the delegation visited the exhibition stand of the Russian JSC "Concern" Kalashnikov ", where the work of the virtual simulator for modeling the situation" Virtual reality technology for business and the state "was presented.
At the end of the first day of visiting the exhibition at the stand of KAMAZ PTC, the members of the delegation were shown novelties and promising samples of automotive equipment produced by this enterprise.

About 1200 enterprises and organizations took part in this event, more than 18 thousand exhibits were demonstrated.
National expositions were presented by seven states: Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Slovakia, South Africa, Belarus and Armenia.
In total, 78 enterprises from 14 countries of the world took part in the forum, 59 states confirmed the participation of their military delegations in the forum.
