A joint collegium on the development of the country's defense-industrial complex was held in Astana

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Zhumakanov, Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov, as well as heads of defense industry enterprises.

"The Ministry of Defense is the main customer of products and services from domestic defense enterprises, the quality of which directly affects the combat capability of our army and the defense capability of the state as a whole, therefore we pay special attention to the development of the national defense industrial complex," stressed the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel General S. Zhasuzakov.

Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov also noted the importance of defense industry enterprises in ensuring the country's defense capability and national security.

“Today the capabilities of defense industry enterprises allow not only meeting the needs of the domestic market, but also have significant export potential. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the maximum workload of the defense industry enterprises within the framework of the state defense order, which is one of the instruments for their support and development, ”B. Atamkulov said.

During the meeting, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Zhumakanov, drew attention to the quality of the development of by-laws and regulations aimed at regulating issues in the area of ​​SDO.

“To date, the necessary legislative amendments have come out - by-laws are being formed - there is an excellent opportunity to regulate everything in the complex in the course of the ongoing regulatory and legal work,” V. Zhumakanov noted.

As a result of the work of the collegium, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin gave specific instructions, the implementation of which will contribute to the high-quality work in the system of state defense orders and the supply of modern weapons and military equipment to the troops.
