On August 27, 2019, in Zhukovsky, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, took part in the 14th International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019, where he met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the implementation of joint documents signed on April 3, 2019, as part of the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the start of large-node assembly of civilian Mi-class helicopters from 2020 on the basis of the Almaty Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405.
In addition, in the field of aircraft construction, the start of the implementation of new projects providing for the maximum cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russian enterprises was given.
Particular emphasis was placed on the integration of products of Kazakh enterprises in the production chain for the assembly of airports manufactured in the Russian Federation.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues providing for the development of industrial cooperation and the implementation of bilateral projects, including on the basis of existing and new industries in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
