On May 14, 2020, in Uralsk, a solemn ceremony of launching a floating pier, built on the stocks of the Zenit plant, which is part of the national company Kazakhstan Engineering, took place.

This point of maneuverable basing (floating berth) was made for the coast guard of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“This event is another step in achieving the goal of equipping law enforcement agencies with modern means of domestic production. The ships and boats of our enterprise have already proven their effectiveness both in the Border Service and in the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the country, ”said Rishat Asanseitov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC“ NC “Kazakhstan Engineering”.

The maneuvering station is intended for mooring, parking, servicing ships, boats and vessels with a total displacement of up to 800 tons, and carrying out loading and unloading operations.

The floating dock has the following tasks:

• simultaneous parking of ships with a displacement of up to 300 tons in the amount of two units, and two boats with a displacement of up to 70 tons;
• autonomous supply of electricity to ships standing at the floating berth and transmission of electricity to them from coastal sources.

To service the personnel, the premises are equipped in accordance with the current sanitary standards.

The event was attended by the leadership of the West Kazakhstan region, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Managing Director of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Engineering ", Rear Admiral of the Reserve Ratmir Komratov.
