The production of domestic products ZIK computers was launched in Petropavlovsk. On August 13, 2020, the plant named after S.M. Kirov (a subsidiary of the NK "Kazakhstan Engineering") started assembling the first 5,000 units of computer equipment, which will be supplied to the Education Department of the country.

As previously reported, on July 1, 2020, the LDP agreement between Microsoft and JSC "Plant im. CM. Kirov ”on equipping ZIK computers with a licensed operating system Windows 10 Pro. This cooperation combines the advantages of domestic products and world-class software, which makes it possible to provide schools in the country with high-quality equipment for distance learning.

It should be noted that in July 2020, several samples of ZіK computers have already been tested at the Education Department of the North Kazakhstan region in urban and rural institutions. According to the results of which, laptops were recommended for use.

Zik computers products meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for distance learning, they are supplied under the Government's program to provide schools with computers.

ZIK computers have a corresponding Certificate of origin of goods in the form "CT-KZ". The share of localization of the project for the production of domestic computers is currently about 30%. The percentage is gradually increasing, which in the future will allow buyers to purchase computer products made in Kazakhstan.

ZIK computers products are socially oriented, since production and sale will take place at relatively low prices in comparison with the offers on the market. In addition, by the end of the year, based on the needs of customers, the plant plans to deliver about 60,000 more personal computers and laptops.
