Semey Engineering JSC is one of the leading enterprises of the Kazakhstan Engineering JSC holding specializing in the repair and modernization of armored vehicles.

Thanks to the orders of the Ministry of Defense, systematic work has begun on the modernization of armored vehicles during major repairs. For example, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers are equipped with digital radio stations of their own production. With international partners, the organization of production in Kazakhstan and the installation of modern fire extinguishing systems are being worked out, joint developments are being carried out to modernize armored vehicles with ASELSAN Corporation, Elbit Systems, leading enterprises of the Russian Federation, etc.

The share of localization in spare parts is 58%. This is a good indicator that directly affects the combat readiness of military units: our own production significantly reduces the delivery time for components. Part of the components are imported from manufacturers of the Russian Federation at prices and quality (there is a stamp of military acceptance by the Russian Ministry of Defense) under the Agreement on military-technical cooperation.

According to the Chairman of the Board of "Kazakhstan Engineering" T. Abdrakhmanov: "Based on the rearmament strategy, the main emphasis of modernization is aimed at increasing the firepower and security of armored vehicles. Tanks are equipped with an extended set of spare parts, tools and accessories. The plans are to equip a company of tanks (that's 10 units) with one tank repair shop. Work on its development has been completed in accordance with the national military standard ST RK B and a serial model of the product based on the modern Ural NEXT.

At the same time, Semey Engineering JSC is working on the conversion of armored vehicles into engineering vehicles and the modernization of wheeled BTR-70 and BRDM-2. These machines are easy to operate, are well known to the military and have a lower cost compared to analogues.
