Askar Zhumagaliyev appointed Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan

By the decree of the Head of State dated December 26, 2018, Askar Kuanyshevich Zhumagaliyev was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Askar Zhumagaliev was born in 1972 in the Orenburg region of the RSFSR.

Graduated from the Sverdlovsk Suvorov military school.

Graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University (Alma-Ata) with a degree in Radio Communication, Radio Broadcasting and Television.

He received his second higher education in the specialty "jurisprudence" at the Kazakh Humanities and Law University, the degree "Master in Electronic Governance" at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne.

In 1996-1998 served as General Director of Zharyk LLP;

In 1998-1999 worked as a head of the sector of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 1999-2000 - was the chief specialist, head of the department of the Transport Control Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2000, he held the position of Head of the Department of the Republican State Enterprise "Republican Center for Billing Telecommunications Traffic";

In 2001-2003. - Head of the Department of State Supervision in the Field of Communications, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2003-2005. - Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Informatization and Communication;

In 2004-2005 - acting. Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Informatization and Communication;

In 2005-2006. - First Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Informatization and Communications;

In 2006, he served as Chairman of the Agency for Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2006-2010 - President of Kazakhtelecom JSC;

In 2010-2012 - Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2012–2014. - served as Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2014 - Chairman of the Agency for Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2014–2015 - Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2015 to 2017 served as Chairman of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.

Since August 2017, he held the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
