In the period from 5 to 7 November 2019 in the city of Nur-Sultan took place
10th meeting of the Kazakh-Turkish commission on technical and defense cooperation.
Deputy Director of the Department for Development of the Defense Industry Complex of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dastan Yergalin chaired from the Kazakh side, from the Turkish side - Director of the Defense Industry Committee of the Turkish Republic Ahmet Kaisuguz.
The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies and leading defense enterprises of the two states, such as Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP, Kaztechnologies JSC, West Kazakhstan Machine-Building Company JSC, Petropavlovsk Heavy Engineering Plant JSC, Kazakhstan Aviation industry ”, JSC“ Semey Engineering, “Roketsan”, “MKEK”, “OTOKAR”, “ASELSAN”, “BMC,“ TAI ”,“ MILSOFT ”,“ STM ”,“ Havelsan ”,“ BAYKAR ”.
During the talks, the parties discussed a number of issues of current and future bilateral cooperation in the military-technical sphere, including issues of investment, mutual supplies and joint production of military and dual-use products.
Thus, an agreement was reached on the organization of joint production of military communications equipment on the basis of Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP, assistance in launching the Kazakhstan cartridge plant, as well as the development of projects for the assembly of UAVs for various purposes on the basis of Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP.
The issues of establishing cooperation in the field of armored, aviation and marine equipment were also considered.
The parties noted the development of cooperation in the field of the defense industry, as well as the strengthening of cooperative ties between defense enterprises for the production of weapons and military equipment in the interests of the security agencies of the two states, as well as its entry into the markets of third countries.
Following the meeting, a Protocol was signed.
