Today the delegation of the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by the Chairperson of the Committee Dariga Nazarbayeva, visited the National Space Center and the helicopter assembly and maintenance plant Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP.

The purpose of the visit to the National Space Center is to familiarize with the Special Design and Technological Bureau of Space Technology (SKTB KT) with pilot production.

SKTB KT is a component of the launch complex of the Spacecraft Assembly and Testing Complex (SIBK KA), the commissioning of which is scheduled for the end of 2018. SKTB KT with pilot production is intended for design work, production of components and ground support equipment for satellites.

During the event, the Senate deputies visited various production sites of SKTB KT, such as: areas of precision mechanics, control and measuring machines, mechanical testing laboratories, 3-D printing, cable products and electronics intended for the manufacture of space products.

In addition, the viewing gallery of the assembly shop of the SIBIK spacecraft was shown to the people's representatives, and they also got acquainted with the work of the Mission Control Center.

Further, the members of the Committee of the Upper House of the Parliament visited the plant for the assembly and maintenance of helicopters LLP "Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering".

The deputies got acquainted with the production sites of the Kazakhstani enterprise, examined its service and aviation training centers.

Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP is the only enterprise in the CIS and Central Asia that sells helicopters manufactured by AirbusHelicopters, assembles and maintains EC145, H125, H130 helicopters, as well as trains technicians and pilots in Russian and English.

A service center has been created on the basis of the plant, providing qualified services for the repair and technical support of helicopters.

The aviation training center conducts training of technicians, avionics and pilots on an EC145 helicopter using advanced technologies, a unique flight simulator and up-to-date technical documentation.

At present, Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP aims to increase export services for technical maintenance of EU 145 helicopters and training of flight personnel.
