The Kazakh delegation headed by the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov paid a working visit to the defense enterprises of the Kingdom of Spain.

The visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan began with a visit to the enterprises of the Spanish division of the company "AIRBUS Defense and Space", where the delegation got acquainted with the process of production of aircraft "S-295", currently operated by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Then B. Atamkulov met with the Minister of Defense of Spain, Maria Dolores de Cospedal Garcia, during the negotiations the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects and prospects for further cooperation with Spanish companies of the military-industrial complex (MIC). Following the talks, the Kazakh delegation invited the Spanish defense industry enterprises to take part in the V International Exhibition of Arms and Military-Technical Property KADEX, which will be held in Astana from 23 to 26 May 2018.

As part of the working trip, representatives of the Kazakh delegation held talks with the management of INDRA Sistemas S.A., where the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the joint production of radar and air defense systems, as well as in the field of cyber defense, space and digital technologies.

At the end of the working trip, the parties noted the great potential and expressed their intentions to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation in the designated areas, as well as identified concrete practical steps to implement the agreements reached.
