October 26-27 this year a working visit of the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov to France took place.

During the visit, the Minister held meetings with the leadership of the Directorate General of Armaments of France, Mr. Joel Barre, the Secretary of State under the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the FR - the co-chairman of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, as well as the head of the company " Airbas Defense and Space by Mr. Nicolas Chamousi, Thales Executive Vice President Alex Cresswell, Safran Electronics and Defense President and CEO Martin Sion and Export Director of MBDA by Jean-Luc Lamotte.

During the talks, successful bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in the space sector, civil, military aviation and weapons was secured.
Following the talks, separate documents were signed in the field of military-technical cooperation.

The Kazakh delegation visited the enterprises for the assembly and testing of satellites of the Airbus DC Space Systems company in Toulouse, which is a strategic partner of the National Company Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary JSC of the AKK MOAP RK, where it got acquainted with the company's activities in the design and construction of geostationary satellites for civil and military use.

At the end of the working trip, the parties noted the great potential in bilateral relations and expressed confidence in further deepening and expanding cooperation in these areas, and also identified concrete practical steps to implement the agreements reached.
