In accordance with previously reached agreements between the defense departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic in Almaty, the 6th meeting of the Kazakh-French commission for cooperation in the field of weapons are held.
The Kazakhstan section of the commission was headed by the Deputy minister of defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major-general Talgat Zhanzhumenov, the French part was headed by the Deputy director for Central and Eastern Europe and South America of the Directorate for international development of the General directorate of armaments of the Ministry of defense of France, General of weapons Hubert L Ebrali.
The French delegation has been presented by a large number of the advanced defensive companies, such as «THALES», «NEXTER», «ECA», «MBDA», «OUVRY», «AIRBUS», «ROXEL», «IXBLUE» which presented a wide range of products (services) of military and dual purpose that has once again confirmed interest in the Kazakhstan market of arms and readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation. In turn, the Kazakh delegation included representatives of the ministries of defense, defense and aerospace industry, national company «Kazakhstan engineering», RSE «Kazspecexport», «ASKB «Alatau», «SDTB» Granite» and others.
The leaders of the sides noted the intensification of military-technical cooperation, which today includes the arming of the ground forces, air defense forces, naval forces, including reconnaissance systems, missile weapons, robotic systems, navigation systems, space sphere and much more, Including, the organization in the Republic of Kazakhstan of service, repair and development of production in the future.
During work the French delegation is acquainted with activity of the joint Kazakhstan-French plant «Granit-Tales Electronics» making release of three-coordinate radar stations of new generation of GM-403 and also with «The aircraft repair plant № 405» which renders full range of services on service and repair of helicopters of the Mi series of military and civil appointment.
Following the results of operation by principals of the sides the double-sided protocol of cooperation in arms is signed.
