On May 7, 2017, a military parade will be held in Astana, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Enterprises of the country's defense-industrial complex will demonstrate modern weapons and military equipment.

JSC "Petropavlovsk Heavy Engineering Plant" will present a modernized anti-aircraft gun ZU-23-2 at the parade. The modernization consists in installing on the product a launch module with two self-guided Igla anti-aircraft missiles and a thermal imaging night vision sight. The modernized ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun allows you to engage in combat with modern air attack weapons - low-altitude air targets, including aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and remotely piloted aircraft. The changes made will allow to increase the number of target channels, including missile ones, and the number of airborne objects being hit around the clock under various weather conditions.

In 2017, the company will modernize prototypes for military trials.
