The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a visiting meeting at the Gvardeisky training ground

Today the head of the defense department Imangali Tasmagambetov checked the preparations for the Army Games at the Gvardeisky training ground.

The Minister of Defense followed the construction of a 2 km long artillery competition track with obstacles - a "snake", a mine-explosive barrier, a mound, a track bridge. There is also a track for a sniper competition with elements of a scout's trail and lines for shooting a sniper rifle, pistol and for throwing grenades.

During the reconnaissance, the leadership of the military department gave the organizing committee recommendations on the order of the competitions. The meeting participants got acquainted with the storage and maintenance of military equipment, as well as the places of residence and meals for the teams. In addition, the routes of the competitions, the procedure for overcoming obstacles and material and technical property were approved.

For the competition, each team will be provided with Dragunov sniper rifles with a night vision sight produced by the Kazakh KAE LLP.

Note that in a month, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the International Army Games will start. The geography of the ARMI-2016 is also unique and extensive, as are the countries' participants.

To date, servicemen from 13 countries - Angola, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, China, Mongolia, Russia and South Africa have already confirmed their participation in the Masters of Artillery Fire and Sniper Frontier contests. Also, 8 states are ready to send observers - Austria, Algeria, Germany, Israel, Cuba, Namibia, the Union of Myanmar, Saudi Arabia.

The opening of ARMI-2016 in Kazakhstan will take place on August 2 at the Gvardeisky training ground. The closing ceremony of the games will be held on August 9.

Let us remind you that last year the first International Army Games "ARMI-2015" took place, in which 17 countries took part, and where our team was represented in 3 nominations. And this year our servicemen are ready to take part in 21 competitions.
