As part of the implementation of the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (No. 1141 dated December 30, 2015 and No. 908 dated December 29, 2020) for 2016-2020 and 2021-2025, NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Company) continues to work on the transfer assets in a competitive environment. It should be noted that 22 assets of the Company were envisaged for transfer through their sale or liquidation.

During the period from 2016 to 2024, the Company successfully sold 12 assets:

• In 2016, the Company’s shares in JSC Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405 (2.67%) and JSC Aircraft Repair Plant No. 406 GA (3.99%), as well as shares in MBM Kirovets LLP (49%) and SMP Group LLP (26%).
• In 2017, 832 Automobile Repair Plant KI JSC (100%) and ZPO Astra LLP (50%) were transferred.
• In 2018: Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP (50%).
• In 2019, the transfer process to JSC Instrument-Making Plant Omega (100%) was completed.
• In 2022, the process of transferring shares of ZIKSTO JSC (42.13%) was completed.
• In 2023, JSC 811 Automobile Repair Plant KI (100%), JSC Munaymash (53.65%) and JSC Tynys (100%) were sold.

Since 2017, the Company has been working on the transfer of JSC Machine-Building Plant named after. CM. Kirov" (hereinafter referred to as MZK JSC/enterprise) into a competitive environment within the framework of the Privatization Program and this year continues to take measures to transfer it to a competitive environment. Previously, an open two-stage tender and an electronic tender for the sale of a block of shares in the enterprise were announced on January 29, May 20 and December 25, 2019, but due to the lack of participants, the auction was declared invalid.

The next electronic competition for the sale of a block of shares of the enterprise was announced on March 12 of this year on the Web portal of the State Property Register www.eqazyna.kz.

At the moment, MZK JSC is not a military plant and a contractor of state defense orders. Its main activity is aimed at the production of civilian products. Due to the current export ban, historical projects are not being implemented, and there are no valid contracts. Currently, the Company is looking for investments to further develop the enterprise. One of the main conditions for the sale of the asset is the preservation of the activity profile and the preservation of the workforce (currently 268 people work at the plant).
