In connection with the dissemination of false information about the situation around JSC “Machine-Building Plant named after. CM. Kirov" (hereinafter referred to as MZK JSC/plant/enterprise/asset) NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Company) provides additional explanations.
Regarding the process of privatization of the plant: the transfer of the enterprise to a competitive environment through the sale of a block of common shares in the amount of 100% is carried out in pursuance of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025, approved by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2020 No. 908.
The main conditions for privatization are maintaining the specialization of the enterprise, staffing levels and further development of the enterprise.
The company, in compliance with the Government Decree, is constantly working to attract potential investors. Sales of shares are carried out on the web portal of the state property register"www.e-qazyna.kz"(hereinafter referred to as the Web portal).
In turn, based on the decision of the authorized body of the Company dated March 1, 2024, the sale of the stake in MZK JSC was suspended, and therefore the electronic tender for the sale of the asset, announced on March 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. on the Web portal, was cancelled.
The plant, having many years of experience, operates as a diversified enterprise developing within the civilian sphere and is not military. Weapons and military equipment are not produced at the plant.
Previously, MZK JSC was engaged in the repair of military equipment for export. Today, due to the current export ban, the plant's historical projects are not being implemented. There are no existing contracts. Currently, the enterprise is making a gradual transition to the development of civilian products, which complicates its implementation and the conclusion of contracts.
Since 2023, the company has been experiencing difficulties, including a lack of new contracts, which has led to low commercial activity and negatively affected its financial condition.
Realizing this situation, in 2023 the Company provided financial assistance to the enterprise three times, thanks to which wages were paid to employees for the months of August, September and November. These actions were taken to ensure social stability and well-being of the workforce.
In turn, we urge media representatives, public groups of social network users and bloggers to check any information before publication and clarify the position of all parties. The Company's management reserves the right to go to court to protect its business reputation in relation to persons posting false information.
