Almaty hosted the 15th plenary meeting of the Sub-Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation chaired by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Major General Talgat Zhanzhumenov and Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Vladimir Drozhzhov.

The meeting was attended by members of the Kazakh and Russian parts of the Sub-Commission, representatives of ministries, departments, enterprises and organizations of the defense industry complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

In the course of their work, the parties discussed the current state and promising areas of military-technical cooperation, including the development of the defense-industrial enterprises of the parties, a protocol was signed that confirmed the decisions and intentions. As part of the meeting program, the Russian delegation got acquainted with the production capacities of the defense enterprises JSC "Aircraft Repair No. 405" and JSC "Machine-Building Plant named after Kirov "stationed in Almaty.
