As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on December 16, 2016, the First Republican Championship in drone racing "Drone Racing Kazakhstan" will take place, which will be held in the capital's ice palace "Barys Arena". The main goals of the competition are to popularize robotics and UAVs, and to support children's and youth research activities.
Racers from all regions of the republic will fight for the title of the best pilot and the main prize - 1 million tenge. In terms of its spectacularity, "Drone Race" can be compared with the legendary "Formula-1", only drones pass the race track in three dimensions, where participants need to fly sections of the track at speed. In our country, a race of this level is being held for the first time and will undoubtedly arouse the interest of potential developers of such equipment.
An exhibition of unmanned aerial vehicles and robotics "DroneExpoKazakhstan2016" will also take place during the championship. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with various models of drones, view an exhibition of model aircraft and robotics, learn about the device and features of various UAV models, take part in master classes, and evaluate the performance of the club of young robotics. The championship will end with a spectacular show "Battle of Robots" and a performance by Kazakh pop stars.
Drone racing is gradually gaining momentum and has already reached the level of the world championship, therefore, a victory at Drone Racing Kazakhstan is an opportunity to join the first National Team of Kazakhstan drivers, which will further represent our country in international competitions.
