Program for the development of mechanical engineering in Kazakhstan for 2010-2014

Mechanical engineering is perceived worldwide as an indicator of the technological level of the national industry. This industry provides a multiplier effect for the development of related industries, multiplies employment and thus ensures the competitiveness of the economy as a whole.

Therefore, the growth of the economy of Kazakhstan should be accompanied by a faster growth of mechanical engineering. This will increase the degree of mechanization in industrial enterprises and increase labor productivity in the sectors of the economy of the Republic.

The basis for the development of a Programme for the development of engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014 is paragraph 5 of the action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on realization of the State program of forced industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014 (hereinafter - SPFIID), approved by decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 14, 2010 № 302.

The program is aimed at upgrading existing enterprises with high-tech and modern equipment, creating new enterprises to produce competitive products of international standard, for the development and cooperation of relations of all existing domestic machine-building enterprises.

The program should be considered as:

• a program to start the recovery and development of the industry at a new quality level, aimed at producing competitive products that are determined on the basis of marketing research, increasing its production volumes and finding stable sales markets;
• program for accelerated development of existing machine-building enterprises through reconstruction, modernization, technical re-equipment and introduction of advanced foreign production technologies and enterprise management management;
• a program of continuous improvement of product quality based on the development of the most effective, scientific, technical and technological developments aimed at creating new types of machines, technologies and equipment.
